MER shows how efficient your overall marketing spend is in relation to your total revenue.
Unlike ROAS, or Platform Data (Google Ads, Meta..) MER looks at the big picture across channels.
It gives you a clear sense of how sustainable your current growth is. If your MER is dropping while revenue grows, you might be scaling unprofitably without realizing it.
If possible use your ERP (ex. Shopify) or Google Analytics 4 to get an overall picture of your sale performance.
How to calculate:
$$ MER = TotalRevenue / Total Marketing Spend $$
